Remedial Education
Strengthening learning skills for school success
At Sadbhaav Child Development Foundation, we provide Remedial Education for children who face difficulties in reading, writing, maths, comprehension, or classroom learning.
These challenges may not go away on their own, and without the right support, children can lose confidence, fall behind in school, or develop a fear of learning. Remedial education is not extra tuition or more homework — it is specialised teaching that focuses on how a child learns best. The goal is to help children build strong foundational skills so they can catch up and cope better in school.

Who Needs Remedial Education?
Remedial support is helpful for children who:
- Consistently struggle in subjects like English or Maths
- Face difficulty in reading fluently or understanding what they read
- Make frequent spelling, writing, or grammar errors
- Cannot grasp basic maths concepts despite regular practice
- Forget what they learn or are unable to apply it
- Have trouble following classroom instructions or finishing work on time
- Have a diagnosis like Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, or Learning Disability
- Are performing below their grade level despite regular schooling
In many cases, children are intelligent and curious but need a different approach to learn effectively.
Our Approach
At Sadbhaav Child Development Foundation, we begin with a learning assessment to identify the child’s strengths and problem areas. This helps us understand:
- Where the child is struggling
- Whether the difficulty is related to attention, memory, language, or processing
- The current academic level versus age-appropriate expectations
- Emotional and behavioural factors that may be affecting learning
Based on this, a personalised education plan is created, keeping the child’s pace and style of learning in mind.
What Happens in a Session?
Remedial sessions are handled by trained special educators and focus on:
- Strengthening reading and comprehension skills
- Improving spelling, grammar, and written expression
- Building number sense and basic arithmetic concepts
- Teaching study skills like attention, planning, and organisation
- Using phonics, visual aids, and activity-based learning methods
- Re-teaching concepts in smaller steps with more repetition and practice
The sessions are one-on-one or small group based, depending on the child’s needs. The learning environment is non-pressurising and child-friendly to reduce fear and build interest.
Working with Parents and Schools
We believe remedial education works best when parents and schools are part of the journey. That’s why we:
- Share regular progress updates with families
- Guide parents on how to support learning at home
- Work with schools wherever possible to align efforts
- Recommend classroom accommodations if needed (like extra time, oral exams, etc.)
At Sadbhaav Child Development Foundation, the aim is not just to help children “score more” but to help them understand better, feel more confident, and enjoy learning again. Every child can learn — they just need the right support.
