Speech & Language Therapy
Building communication, speech clarity, and confidence
At Sadbhaav Child Development Foundation, we work with children who have difficulty with speech, language, or communication.
Through Speech Therapy, we help children express themselves clearly, understand others better, and build the confidence to interact with the world around them. Communication is more than just talking it includes listening, understanding, using gestures, making eye contact, and even expressing needs through facial expressions or body language. Some children struggle with one or more of these areas, and early support can make a big difference.

What is it?
When Is Speech Therapy Needed?
Speech therapy can help children who:
- Are not speaking or have very few words for their age
- Mispronounce words or have unclear speech
- Have trouble forming sentences or using the right words
- Struggle to follow instructions or understand questions
- Stammer or repeat sounds (stuttering)
- Speak very loudly, softly, or in an unusual tone
- Have difficulty with social communication like taking turns or maintaining conversations
- Have diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, Hearing Loss, Down Syndrome, or Developmental Delays
Even if a child is talking, therapy may still be needed if their communication isn’t age-appropriate or if others often find it hard to understand them.
How We Begin
Every child is first assessed by our speech-language therapist to understand their current abilities in:
- Expressive language (speaking)
- Receptive language (understanding)
- Speech clarity (pronunciation and sound production)
- Social communication skills
- Oral-motor skills (movement of lips, tongue, jaw)
We also take input from parents and, if available, teachers – because real-life communication happens in many environments, not just in therapy.
What Happens in a Therapy Session?
Therapy sessions are designed to be playful, engaging, and suited to the child’s age and interests. Some activities may include:
- Picture cards and story-based tasks to build vocabulary
- Games and toys to encourage turn-taking and interaction
- Repetition and modeling to improve pronunciation
- Movement-based tasks combined with speech
- Exercises for oral muscle coordination
- Role play and real-life communication practice
Our therapists use a mix of techniques depending on the child’s needs and always work at a pace that’s comfortable and non-stressful.
Support for Families
Parents are encouraged to be involved during or after sessions so they can:
- Understand how to support communication at home
- Learn techniques to encourage speech during daily routines
- Track progress and share updates from home or school
We also help families if the child needs alternative communication methods (like gestures, pictures, or apps) while speech is developing.
At Sadbhaav Child Development Foundation, the focus is not only on how clearly a child speaks, but also on how confidently they connect with the world around them. Every word, gesture, or expression matters and we’re here to support that journey.
